Delicious beer flight and the pub schnitty was flawless. Reminded me of a beachside treat down under. The sausage and Chico rolls slapped too. Well done to the owners and crew. We'll be back.
Found this place when looking for breweries near my friends townhouse and immediately gravitated towards it cuz of it's name and Aussie theme. This is NOT a novelty brewery! I luv that it embraces its Aussie roots, but moreso I love that it has so much substance behind the theme! First off, fantastic beer selection; if you can't find a beer you like here, you should probably not be drinking beer. Second, the food menu is diverse and they offer legitimately quality food here; and for the quality it did not take as long as I was expecting it to! To that point, BOMG you gotta get the burger and the brussels sprouts!!! The incredible grade of the beef in the burger will melt in your mouth, and the flavor bomb that is the brussies...a foodgasm is guaranteed, so if you're a moaner def give those around you the heads-up like I did cuz you will def be re-enacting Meg Ryan's famous scene from "When Harry Met Sally" (IYKYK). Third, the staff was so great, well informed, courteous, and engaging! I cannot recommend a stop here w/a "Howdy" & "G'Day" enough! Forget Fosters, Platypus Brewing is Australian for Beer in TX! Beers I had on this visit: Freckled Dingo APA 5.5% Scarypus Marzen 5.4% Grandaddy Purp Blackberry IPA 7.3% Out of Orbit Hazy NEIPA 7.5% BA Chain Rattler Stout 9.5%

Nice place to hang out casually. Came only because it was next door to another place of business I was at. Didn't have a huge selection of beers or sours. Especially for a brewery, enjoyed the staff making recommendations for me. Patio is fun and love their pet that hangs out. Bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Staff is chill.
Love this brewery! It's a fun environment and has great food and drinks! Australian day is always a blast as they have a large event every year! The service is pretty good as well. The bathrooms are not large but good enough for the brewery. They have a cute out door patio as well! They provide games which i like as well!
